Founded in 2008, SOPHI is an outsourcing center based in the Philippines. Originally established as the primary contact center for a US-based tech start-up, we started as a small 7-person team and initially provided enrollment verification services to one of the largest online student travel agencies in the US. In 2009, we provided back-office services and B2B appointment setting to our sister company, which specialized in rewards and loyalty programs. The company was later acquired by BuyWithMe (now with Gilt Groupe). Since 2012, we have provided customer service, back-office support, and virtual assistance to various tech companies worldwide.

We exist to empower global businesses by integrating innovative AI-driven solutions with the human touch of skilled, cost-effective remote professionals.

To provide transformative value for our partners by championing Filipino excellence, with a goal to become the preferred outsourcing partner for global businesses by 2028.

Our Story

My journey began in 2005 in Dumaguete. Fresh out of college, I found limited career options that offered low salaries and poor work-life balance. In 2007, my forum post about the immense talent in the community and the lack of opportunities for them caught the eye of an executive for a Boston-based student verifications company. This led to the creation of StudentsOnly Philippines (SOPHI). SOPHI became a movement to create an employee-centric organization that offers locals career opportunities in tech. Today, we've grown to 500+ staff between our call centers in Dumaguete City and Cebu City, dedicated to scaling technology brands globally, where each Sophian exemplifies how vision, determination, and community can transform dreams into reality.
